1. Why is Faqir Chand's experiences important in understanding the projective nature of religious visions and miracles?
Faqir Chand’s experiences are important in understanding the projective nature of religious visions and miracles because he realizes and speaks a truth about these projective natures. He tells the world that these projective visions and miracles are all fabricated in our heads. Professor Lane terms “the Unknowing Hierophany” to describe what he believes are divine people “vehicles” that are not aware of their spiritual manifestations. Before Faqir Chand discovered this truth, he believed in these visions and that is what led him on his path to find his guru. In the book, “The Unknowing Sage” he speaks about how he saw a vision of his guru and that vision made him want to see God even more, and he wanted to meditate and learn to be able to see god and these visions more. Faqir Chand realized that this visions were created by our minds when he was told that a vision of him saved soldiers and helped them to live in Baghdad, and Faqir Chand had no clue about this. He realized that divine gurus and people are not aware of their spiritual manifestations, and that much of it comes from the imaginations of people creating these manifestations themselves. These visions are constructed in our heads and Faqir Chand wanted to tell that truth even if it meant hurting religion and going against the teachings of his gurus and other gurus. It helped to dispel some of the mysticism behind many of these gurus and people that say they are connected to God. It helped to show that they are not able to travel as apparitions and give advice and be a vision inside of someone else’s mind.

2. What is meant by the phrase, "philosophy done well is science; philosophy done poorly remains philosophy."
First, we should look at the definitions of philosophy and science. According to dictionary.com, the definition of philosophy is, “the rational investigation of the truths and principles of being, knowledge, or conduct” and the definition of science is, “a branch of knowledge or study dealing with a body of facts or truths systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws.” If philosophy done well is science that means that good philosophy will create a body of facts or truths that show general laws that a science does, and philosophy done poorly will stay as a rational investigation of truths and principles. The key words here are “investigation” and “laws”. Philosophy is in an investigation and not facts or truths. It wants to investigate to find truths that can become science. Science is made up of laws composed of truths. Philosophy is continuous with science as many philosophers believe and have stated. Good philosophy helps to create science and practically becomes science. Most metaphysical philosophy that has to do with the laws of nature and science. Helping to understand the universe is what science and philosophy are both trying to accomplish. Poor philosophy are just ideas that did not come to fruit or are not good enough or strong enough to become science which is based on facts and experimentation. Science and philosophy are very different yet have many similarities, and they both have a goal of explaining the universe in ways that we can understand.
