Do you think artificial intelligence will be a significant problem in the future?
"The idea that we can actually create a being that may have consciousness and far surpass our own intelligence is astounding, but he ramifications of such a creation, whether it be our saving grace or demise, are still unknown to us." (Einsteins Wastebasket p63) None know the future of artificial intelligence but personally I think that it'll be a problem. They are trying to get computers and machines to do what humans do. Eventually they will have machines doineveryones jobs since they don't need to get paid and there will be a financial crisis. Not only that but there are a bunch of what ifs. What if the computers malfunction and cause chaos? What if no one has a job? What if artificial intelligence takes over everything in the world? There are too many negatives that over rule the positives.
How has technology impacted your life?
Technology impacted my life and others in many different ways. A big one is cell phones. Everybody has ones to find each other, contact each other, see pictures, play games, and more. I'm surprised people still even talk anymore with all the things a phone does for you. Another big one is television. Television teaches you things and keeps you entertained. Another is light. Without light we'd be in the dark. Having technology impacted my life positively and negatively. Things like light is good but things like television or phones are both. Yes they are helpful but very addictive and a distraction from reality.
