1. Why is the theory of evolution so important in understanding how human beings behave?
When it comes to evolution and understanding how human beings behave today no one really knows the answer on how we became the people we are today. Of course there is opinions and facts, but who really knows why we do the things we do or how we act the way we do. No one has the correct answer for that. Many people believe in certain things and that’s how people come up with answers according to evolution. For example, Christians don’t believe in evolution, they believe in the bible which means they believe that god created us and that’s why we are the way we are. Is that true? That’s what people are trying to figure out today. From the book Evolutionary Limits it is said that, “To say that our brains were made by God and our lungs by natural selection.” Is god the one who really made us, or is evolution a big part in how us human beings became the people we are today? No one has the answers for that. There’s so many things that we don’t have the answers for. Knowing human behavior can help us learn more about us. Evolution says that the way we are first started with monkeys and that’s why were so much alike, but is that true? Sooner or later hopefully someone will have the answer to why we are the way we are.
2. Which questions do you think evolutionary theory cannot answer?
When it comes to evolutionary theory there is so many questions that I have unanswered and people may be able to answer but will it be true. Some questions would be where did we come from? How was everything created? Who started it? People think God created everything, but how do we know that? These are questions that people want to know, but we don’t have the answers for. When it comes to evolution, this can deal with religion, science, and philosophy. In the book Darwin 101 it is asked, “Who can explain why one species ranges widely and is very numerous and why another allied species has a narrow range and is rare”? This is a question that I can’t answer, but someone else may be able to but has a low chance of being right. People who are deep in religion may believe that god created everything, but what about the people who don’t believe that god created everything. People want to know who created us and why we were created like this or why were we brought onto this earth as a human and not an animal.
