1. Why is the theory of evolution so important in understanding how human beings behave?
I think that the theory of evolution is important to understand behavior because with evolution we are the way we are. Through natural selection and survival of the fittest our ancestors were able to survive thus us being who we are. In the video "THE GENETIC CONNECTION: Rice and Humans" he explains how there is trial and error but we don’t see that because the ones who didn’t make it didn’t reproduce so there is no evidence of that. In the video evolution explained in four minutes it explains how with natural selections we as humans have gained the traits and skills to survive. So due to evolution our ancestors have been able to survive and the things they were put through has made it possible for us nowadays to be able to survive. Everything in our bodies have a purpose and some of those things were necessities in the old days which sometimes now we don’t need for example the appendix. Not many people know the use of it but we no longer need it and are able to survive without it.

2. Which questions do you think evolutionary theory cannot answer?
I think the questions that the evolutionary theory can’t answer is that what is the purpose of evolution? I understand that we have evolve to be who we are now but what is the purpose of the whole thing? True survival is the end game but for how long or when will we finish evolving? A lot of questions can be answered with science but what about the questions that baffle majority of people. Why does man like to destroy? Why are we the only species to kill for fun? That to me are some questions that might never be answered. It makes me question my own species about how can we think it’s fun to cause harm to the earth? Hurting animals or hurting each other is something in this day and age that is a real problem and I hope that it stops soon because we shouldn’t be fighting each other. In a way it makes sense because survival of the fittest but same time some people hurt for sport and it has nothing to do with survival and I just don’t understand it.
