1. Explain the "virtual simulator" hypothesis to consciousness. How does such a concept help explain why you behave the way you do? Be sure to draw from your day to day habits and how your mind projects into the future and reflects about the past.
A: How I interpret the "virtual simulator" is a way of our mind to control what is real, and not real. What I'm trying to say is that the mind can possibly think three or four steps ahead of the game, but when the mind encounters a difficult step the virtual stimulator gives you reality to the on happening event. It's a balance we have between what want to be real, and what actually is real.
2. How does M.E. theory apply to your own belief system?
A: I think the M.E. theory is like a reason to live for those who have not found a religion, or simply do not encourage that which, is completely fine. This M.E theory is similar to how I believe in my Religion. I grew up in a very strong catholic home, so, the M.E theory is a reason/answer to life or to why keep on going in life. Mine, is to fully take advantage of what Jesus did for us due to our sins, and hopefully do everything he did for us.
3. Where do you find purpose in your own life? How does it relate to the "evolutionary" imperative?
A: I find my purpose in having a better life than my ancestors because I want to take advantage of their mistakes, and learn from them. Along with my purpose I think it is also to make as many mistakes as one can possibly make, so our children, and our children's children can too learn from them. I think my purpose in life relates to evolutionary imperative by both (me, and evolutionary imperative) making the best of every situation, or in this case the best of life.
