1. Do you think artificial intelligence will be a significant problem in the future?
I don’t think that artificial technology will impose a problem for society in the future, but instead it will continue to develop our human intelligence capacity. As mentioned in the video the coming singularity by ray Kurzweil technology that the advancement of intelligence will not be coming from mars it will be coming from within ourselves this being making the initial purpose of these advancement in order to extent our reach, which we could actually start doing in a couple of touches in our phones. Being optimistic is the number one mindset we should all have in the process of intelligence. In my opinion it will create immediate work occupations and as humans we will become adaptive because it is what we do. Take for instance the advancement from horses to cars. People did not just stand around and waited for cars and machines to take over their occupations. They adapted and created new innovative ideas to expand their possibilities. As mentioned in the video The Wolfram Conclusion: A New Kind of Science and The Principle of Computational Equivalence, there will always be details that could be reduced further that will allow science to progress and now we know that science has limitations. This means that even though the progression of evolving a possibility of outthinking the human mind is possible there will always be a limitation in which the human mind has by having little factors and history that will inhibit a machine to truly fully be considered a human mind simulation. But again technology could pose a problem in the future because as medicine and other technology forms expand so do terrorist idealisms toward using these advancements for harm. For example, ray Kurzweil says that the advancement in bio technology might not only improve medicine but also improve the ways terrorist can inflict a universal virus more precise a biological virus to the country which could be deadly. As advancements occur their will always be a two-way effect but the truth is that the human mind is capable to regulate such advancement and I expect it to.
2. How has technology impacted your life?
Technology has impacted my life in a huge way. From little things as an iPhone to the car I possess now. it is remarkable how fast technology has evolved throughout the years. Every day I view various airplanes take off from Ontario airport and me and my father talk about how god has given the human mind has so much power in converting small little factors into a huge impactful invention. Let’s take for instance the huge invention process that Ron is said to be doing as mentioned in the video the “First time Machine,” the ability to actually bend light and the possibility to twist space itself. It is remarkable what the human mind can do as he and his father finally figured that the only way to actually bend the universe would be light itself. Technology has impacted my life by having me everyday more optimistic, in a for that the future will just improve the human understanding. Technology is unexpected and as Alan Turing suggested in the video Alan Turing that the only way technology will achieve the success of the human mind will be until we as humans resolve the unresolved ourselves only then a computer generated invention will accomplish human capacity.
