1. Do you think artificial intelligence will be a significant problem in the future?
Obviously the artificial intelligence will be a significant problem in the future. According to the film “The Coming Singularity”, Ray Kurzweil describes that because of the improvement of technology, it has become the major part in human being’s life, and the related problems started to come out. First of all, since the artificial intelligences are improving, they have similar, even same, actions as human beings, would they have to abide by human beings’ laws or moral standards? Artificial intelligences do not have sympathy as human beings, they will implement the order that human give them and complete it without emotions. In the hands of a wrong person, they might commit a crime and never feel guilty about it. Another serious problem is that artificial intelligence do not have “mind”, so they will not “think” or find a proper way to solve a problem. They might use direct, extreme, and dangerous way to achieve their goal, which could be very dangerous for human beings. Artificial intelligence is still a sensitive and argumentative topic for people, and people need to consider the results and the way to solve the problems while the technology is improving.
2. How has technology impacted your life?
Technology was not the biggest element in my life. When I was a little girl, I lived in a life which full of Barbie and dolls. I played with my friends face to face .I did not have to finish my homework by using the laptop, or contact people with a cell phone. After I grow up, from the time I wake up by the alarm in the morning until I finish taking the shower by using hair drier at night, everything influences by technology. My life became more technological when Wi-Fi came into the market. I chat with friends by social medias, learn new things through websites, even take a class on line. My car does not have a key because I can remote it; I could turn on the air condition in my house when I was in school because I have the app in my smart phone. Technology has become the biggest part in my life.
