Week Three Questions:
1. The conception of a multiverse actually makes me feel optimistic of my life on earth. So no matter how terrible things go here there are infinite Megan's that are doing far worse in life. Also it makes me think of the show Rick and Morty and how they are able to access their alternate universe. Maybe one day we can too me time travelers. Although, I believe we would do more harm than good. It would be pretty cool to take a peak at the bizarro version of me out of curiosity of course.
2. Since each of us are truly just different configurations of atoms it makes me wonder if we can eventually rearrange certain ones to change personality traits or even physical traits. I know this would have to me extremely advanced technology but, it makes me wonder what the next step is in the discovery of why we are here or if we will ever know our true creator. Did probability make it possible for us to exist? If the right conditions did not occur our human race would not be here so already we are at good odds. If anything knowing the probability of my existence is alone phenomenal because I had to beat out a million other sperms just to make it. Already I am winning I think this is something everyone should stop to think about and it would make people appreciate their lives. In reality being born is like winning the lotto. Also it gives me a different perspective on luck or karma because if my luck has been poor lately then the chance of my luck changing for the better is higher. I believe this to be true because even in roulette if you keep betting on red eventually black will come up no matter what that is why when we bet we are forever changing the color and number.
3. It gives me understanding about how much life and energy is all around us. For example for me to really appreciate having eaten a fresh organic tomato I had to go through the process of planting it and caring for the plant to realize the true value of the plant. It takes time and effort to grow anything and it makes me appreciate how everything on the planet in order to thrive needs to be under just the right conditions to grow. I also learned how easy it can be to kill a plant due to neglect. I feel like more people should look at our planet this way. It would make them realize how easy it could potentially be to destroy our planet. It is a dystopian thought to consider how in a few hundred years if we continue to neglect the planet it may fail to exist. I hope for the children of the future that the realization comes full circle and changes the way we treat mother earth.
