1. Why is the theory of evolution so important in understanding how human beings behave?
The theory of evolution is important in understanding how humans behave because evolution can explain why a person is a certain way due to their DNA and shows which behavioral traits have survived through the human evolutionary timeline. According to The DNA of Consciousness, each person has a different DNA. Evolutionary psychology tries to show how human behavior is influenced by evolution. By learning about evolution, we can learn about our past and where we came from and why we are the way we are now. This can explain why humans behave certain ways in some situations, why we feel fear or happiness or why we practice certain rituals. The theory of evolution is also used to describe a mechanism such as natural selection. Natural selection has been observed for years as mammals will accommodate to their surroundings in order to better survive in the wild. Our existence alone is special and should not be discounted. Among all species on the Earth, natural selection processes allow human to have the most advanced intelligence and to develop the most sophisticated technology to explore the universe. Through the theory of evolution, we are able to better understand why we are accommodated to the world we live in and where we came from.
2. Which questions do you think evolutionary theory cannot answer?
There are many questions that the evolutionary theory cannot answer. The questions that cannot be answered bring up many other questions as well. One very important and often wondered question is “how did life originate?” This is a question that the evolutionary theory completely fails to acknowledge. According to evolutionist Professor Paul Davies, “nobody knows how a mixture of lifeless chemicals spontaneously organized themselves into the first living cell,” which also leads to the question of “where did the DNA strand originate from?” This then shows that theory fails in this area of study. This brings in another question of religion. Others may question all the mistakes that have come from the evolutionary theory. Some of these mistakes are explained in the video "The Magic of Evolution". One question brings up another and ends up being an endless list of unanswered questions. These are questions that I believe no amount of research could ever answer. These questions will always remain unknown regardless of whatever religion or science anyone believes in.
